VIRTUAL FAN SWING
The Virtual Fan Swing is a tournament series hosted by DP World Tour. It consists of four Closest-to-Pin tournaments, played during the Danish Golf Championship, Omega European Masters, FedEx Open de France and DP World Tour Championship. Each tournament is played virtually on the same course as the corresponding DP World Tour event in Trackman simulators and on Trackman Range. Participants get three attempts to hit their ball closer to the pin than the closest DP World Tour player on that hole during the first round of the tour event.
Players who beat the DP World Tour benchmark in any of the first three tournaments qualify for the Virtual Fan Swing Final, which serves as the fourth and final tournament of the series and is played during the DP World Tour Championship. As a result, the first three tournaments are open qualification events, while the fourth tournament is invitation-only and open exclusively to qualified players.
